Monday Feb. 15, 2010

This is my Valentines gift!!!!
My husband got this for me for Valentines day!!!! It was very much a surprise because we have not really celebrated hallmark holidays in the past. I really wanted the necklace and I still hope to get it in the future, he said maybe for our 10th year anniversary. I guess I'm starting to like the jewelry. I have never been a jewelry girl but I like it now.
I had to work the last couple days, second shift 2:30- 11:00 pm and I came down sick, I hate being sick and having to go to work. I feel even more tired and exhausted. But I hung in there and made it. Now I have to do some studying today for sure. I got a snow day last week and didn't have to go to school so I had an extra week to study and I better ace it!!!!!
Today is presidents day and I need to get up and busy, I have to get a few things from Sams and shower because last night I put vicks vapo rub on and I am a little sticky. I have this horrible cough at night and I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!
So the treadmill is calling my name and I'm feeling lazy and not want to get motivated. I really need someone to help push me along, however I feel like I have more motivation than most because I at least do something once a week. Most people don't continue. Well, enough for now hoping everyone has a great day.

The past couple of days

I haven't been on here in a couple of days. So I guess to stay up to date:


I woke up and decided to take the kids to school, only because we were running late due to sleeping in on the snow day!! I got to school and Trevors teacher asked if I could come in and help make the kids 100th day t-shirt and I did but I was heading to Target. Thats a place I love to go to!!! I walked down every isle of the place and found some pretty good deals. A 59.99 comfoter set with pillow sham for 15.00. I thought that was a steal. Anyway I went back home put some things away and went up to the school the rest of the day to help. Boy that was time consuming. Came home had dinner and took Brianna to gymnastics. She loves it so much!!! And I think she does a pretty good job, from what I can see. Came home put the kids to bed after studying with Brianna, and enjoyed a night watching the real houswives of Organe county. I love that show.


I took the kids to school again and just stayed up there to help finish the t-shirts. Things went by so fast because there were 3 other parent there. Stayed till 11:00 came home worked out, went and tanned and back up to school by 2:00pm for the kids Valentines party. It was so cute Brianna has a little boy crushing on her and he got her a half dozen candy roses!!! That was really sweet. Jim had a layover so it was just the kids and I. I watched a movie with Jennifer Aniston in it and it wasn't that great(maybe why I can't remember the name) had popcorn, fixed mine and Briannas mp3 player and finally went to bed.

So today was a "snow day" even for us college students. I was elated because I had a test and didn't really study as much as I would have liked. I'm going to have to start chiseling out a part of everyday to take time to study. So anyway I had a sluggish start this morning because I got phone calls from several people and it kinda held me up but I did end up with "most" of what I wanted done. I did get 40 minutes of exercise in but it was just strength training. I though it was kickboxing but oh well I did it anyway. Got the kids together and went out and shoveled the whole driveway from the road up and now my back is aching.I asked the kids to only shovel the front porch and (picture) this is all that was accomplished!!! It took me 2 hours to shovel so they had plenty of time. I came in took a shower and started dinner. I had chicken with Asian stir fry veggies. I messed up and ended up having a few sugar cookies we had baked for the kids teachers. I hate it when that happens. Something that made me feel kinda good was Brianna took a picture of me from behind while I was in the kitchen and it looked like it wasn't as big as I felt. I'm still wanting to take of a few pounds but it wasn't that bad. I now an feeling like I am coming down with a sore throat and the sniffles with a sneeze. I am currently 4 weeks ahead of time if this is a cold coming on. I go away every March to scrapbook and I go being sick the whole time so i am hoping I get it now and not then. I'm a little sore from doing something everyday but I am doing better than I have done in the past I am still feeling strong. I just want to drop the fat and tone. i am slowly approaching 40 and it will be here before I know it and I want to be in the best shape of my life. That's all for now ta ta!!!!

Tuesday Feb. 9 2010

Well today was a long day!!!Got up took the kids to school and the snow started falling. I was supposed to meet Shelli at her doctor and watch Sophie but Liz came over to her house so I just decided to meet her there anyway and go walk through the scrapbook store. Unfortunately the store was closed so we went to VG's and looked around. I decided to get some ground flax seed to put in the kids panpakes(HAHA!!! SHHH)Anyway i came home and Jim and I went to get our taxes done, was very surprised with that outcome. Yay for us!!! Came home made dinner Salmon, couscous, and squash. The kids had left over pizza. I studied a little through the chaos. I helped the kids with their Valentines for school, made the mini heart rice crispy treats(pictured) Gave Trevor a bath, Brianna read me her library book now I am going to get off the computer exercise and study. I'm sure to sleep good tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed for no school for me or the kids, as for me I have to pray harder!!!LOL Good night everyone!!!!

My first blog!!!

Got up this morning feeling like I am so out of shape, ate my breakfast that consisted of 2.5 egg whites with salsa on the top, and a bowl of dry granola I made with cranberries, peanut butter and mini chocolate chips. I'm sure its not that healthy however I made it with natural peanut butter and agave. I have been eating a ton healthier for about a week and to my amazement I have gained a few pounds. I wonder how that can happen, working out everyday eating a well balanced diet cutting out pop and drinking water. I feel like I should just go back to my old ways with no exercise, eating what I want and drinking all the diet pop I can fit in my day, I'll at least lose LOL. Oh well, besides that I set a goal and I'm sticking to it. I'm tired of felling tired everyday. I ended up Worth 56.5 minutes of running with an average of 9:54 min/ mile a far cry from where I was but I have to start again somewhere:x)
